Dr. Sherri Brunner is a Licensed Psychologist at Theiss Children and Adolescent Trauma Services (CATS). She has experience working with children and adolescents over the years in various settings, including UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital inpatient—Child and Adolescent Bipolar Spectrum Services (in-CABS), UPMC Pediatric OCD Program, Yeshiva School of Pittsburgh, and UPMC Services for Teens at Risk (STAR).
In therapy, Dr. Brunner uses a client-centered approach to foster growth, empowerment, and independence in her clients. She strives to provide a warm environment that feels safe and supportive to all. Dr. Brunner feels that it is an honor to sit with everyone as they move through their different journeys in therapy.
Dr. Brunner earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University. She completed her APA-accredited Predoctoral Internship at the University of Delaware’s Center for Counseling and Student Development and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Temple University’s Tuttleman Counseling Center.
