Alexandra Rathmann MSW LSW

  • Behavioral Health Therapist I

Starting with her undergraduate internship in 2019, Alex has been working with children and adolescents, many of whom are impacted by trauma. Alex worked as a Family Based Mental Health Clinician—an in-home, family-relationship-focused service for kids with high mental health needs—for 3 years before transitioning to Theiss CATS in May 2025. Prior to that, she worked and interned in various other settings, such as inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient trauma.

Alex’s clinical experience includes strengths-focused interventions, working on attachment and relationships, parenting strategies, and trauma-informed care. She spent years providing crisis intervention and service coordination. She continuously works to prioritize the client and family’s values and goals. Additionally, Alex brings knowledge about neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ issues to the mental health profession.

Alex earned her Bachelor of Science of Psychology, Applied Mental Health before completing her Master of Social Work, both at Edinboro University (now known as PennWest Edinboro).
